Online biz
Routine

Ok, I’ve reached a turning point I think. It’s not that I have been “too busy” or that I didn’t have time to work on the business. It’s that, when I finally have the time, there’s a huge amount of fumbling in the dark. Yesterday was a great example. Totally lost for hours  (literally 4 or 5) but without anything very concrete to show for it at the end of it. I worked on the Art Business Pregnancy Booklet (ABPB) and, while the writing was very helpful in many ways, at the end of the day, I had no more drawings, and no more “central” where to publish all this stuff.

So, I come back here. It just has to be this website. Between Canva, Adobe Fresco, Zinnia, Nebo, ReMarkable, Figma, Heyzine, photos, inspo and analog sketches, there simply isn’t any other platform to host all the tools I like to play with.

Le cahier noir is therefore the home of this journey –not the ABPB, not Canva, not Nebo, not Zinnia, not Fresco. I can use all these tools and more, but they all have to be uploaded here at the end of the day.

I repeat: everything is uploaded on the website at the end of the day.  The END, i.e. the hours before bed. The morning’s great to be inspired and gain momentum, but the kind of tracking I want to do requires that I post at the end of the day, once it has happened.

Fugly sketches from my mini sketchbook. I will still force myself to draw 7 things a day, and force myself to post them here. Some days will be like this. Hopefully some days will be better. Below the mini sketchbook in question, and a rare selfie!
